About Cacao Nibs
Cacao nibs are the least processed form of chocolate. They are made from the beans of the Theobroma cacao plant. Technically, the seeds are removed from the pods and fermented with yeast for 5-10 days in closed containers. This changes their colour to dark brown. Lastly, they're air-dried or roasted. Utilised in a great number of different ways, cacao nibs are an excellent cooking ingredient.
