- Sustained Release to Minimize Flushing
Niacin, better known as Vitamin B3, is one of the B vitamins, micronutrients that are essential to the human body because they help the body convert food into usable energy, improve cholesterol and lipid profiles and optimize hormone production.
Although it shares some functions in common with other B vitamins, Niacin, specifically, takes part in more than 50 different metabolic processes that could not take place without this nutrient.
Niacin is used by the body to make NAD and NADP, two enzymes that help the digestive system break down food. Increasing its levels helps the body produce more NAD and NADP, promoting energy production mechanisms and increasing our available energy.
The energy production optimization that is associated to high vitamin B3 intake can help athletes achieve better results, enhancing their power, strength and stamina. Studies show that increasing niacin ingestion can also increase natural growth hormone production.
In a double-blind study four randomly selected groups were given Niacin and other substances to test for increases in Human Growth Hormone (HGH) release.
The first group was given water as a placebo drink, the second used water with 280 mg of Niacin added, the third group was given a 6% carbohydrate and electrolyte drink, and the last group used a similar 6% carbohydrate and electrolyte drink, but with added Niacin.
The tested subjects in two groups that took niacinincreased their HGH release from 300% to 600%, clearly showing positive correlation between niacin supplementation and HGH levels in the body.
HGH is a highly anabolic hormone that boosts lean muscle tissue development, dramatically increasing your muscle gains. Vitamin B3 can also benefit your health by providing antioxidant protection, helping regulate blood glucose levels, lowering bad cholesterol and protecting against heart disease.
It also enhances blood flow and muscle pumps, promoting muscle power and recovery.
Take 1 tablet daily with a meal. This high potency tablet should be taken under doctor's supervision. Niacin supplements may sometimes temporarily cause flushing and/or itching, but this sustained release tablet should minimize those symptoms.
To further limit these uncomfortable but not dangerous symptoms, take daily and avoid missing doses.
